Samsung Corporation will be among the equipment manufacturers who will work with the platform Google TV. Reuters informs about it, referring to Yoon Boo-keun who is the president of Samsung unit, which makes the production of television sets. Yoon Boo-keun said that negotiations between Samsung and Google to release the device is in "final stages".

This device will be presented next year, but not at the January exhibition CES, as expected by experts, but later. The head of Samsung TV unit also said, that the device of South Korean company will be "significantly different" from existing solutions that offer the Sony and Logitech. What this difference will be, he did not specify.

Note, that Sony and Logitech products are based on the processor Atom, which are manufactured by Intel. It is not excluded, that Samsung decided to use the processors of own production. At CES in January 2011, Samsung has already demonstrated two devices on the platform of Google TV, such as set-top box and Blu-ray disc player, but in mass production they never came.

Google TV platform was launched in autumn 2010. It allows you to open on the TV screen web sites and watch internet TV channels. Now the service is available only in the U.S., but Eric Schmidt promised, that Google TV will work in Europe in 2012.
